Cleaning Tips

For Softback/Silk shades (fabric exterior and interior)

Dusting

Use a clean soft cloth or a Swiffer duster to dust the shade inside and out.

Cleaning to remove dirt spot or stain

Use a wet soft piece of cloth or terry cloth. Apply gentle liquid soap to cloth. Gently rub over the dirt spot. Rinse cloth thoroughly and gently apply wet cloth to entire soaped area working gently in an up and down overlapping motion. Then wet the entire panel of shade from side piping to side piping. Wet this evenly and then fast dry it with hair dryer or fan.

If lining of the shade is soiled, follow the same instructions but make sure to wet the entire lining so that no watermarks remain on fabric.

For Hardback shades  (fabric or paper exterior with paper or vinyl interior)

Dusting

Use a clean soft cloth or a Swiffer duster to dust the shade inside and out.

Cleaning

Only dusting is recommended.
